- Minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment

How SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® works?
You may have seen hyaluronic acid as an ingredient in moisturizing creams or serums. The modified hyaluronic acid (HA) in SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® keeps your skin hydrated, looking healthy, and glowing.

In clinical studies, patients who were treated with SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® reported high satisfaction with how glowing, hydrated, refreshed, and healthy their skin looked.
APPROVED USES
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel is an intradermal injection to improve facial skin smoothness of the cheeks in adults over the age of 21.
SKINVIVE™ by JUVÉDERM® is available only by a licensed physician or properly licensed practitioner.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Reasons to Avoid Skinvive Injectable Gel:
-History of severe reactions (anaphylaxis) or multiple severe allergies
-Allergies or allergic reactions to: lidocaine, gram positive bacterial proteins, hyaluronic acid fillers or hyaluronidase
Risks/Side Effects:
- Rare unintentional injection into a blood vessel. If this occurs, your nurse has been trained to recognize same and respond to ideally reverse.
-Other rare complications include: vision abnormalities, blindness, and stroke. Immediate consultation is advised.
-History of keloid scarring, or other types of thick scars
- Avoid use on irritated skin or infections
- Redness, lumps, swelling, bruising, pain, itching, etc. common with most facial injections
- Reports of inflammation, unsatisfactory results, allergic reactions.
Precautions:
- Minimize strenuous exercise, sun exposure, and alcohol before and after your treatment.
-Inform your provider about medications that may increase bleeding/bruising (i.e. Warfarin and other blood thinners), Aspirin.
- Caution with subsequent treatments like laser or chemical peels.
- Not studied for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Caution with immune response therapy.
-Immunocompromised individuals or individuals in poor health. Your nurse will discuss your medical history with you prior to treatment to ensure this treatment is right for you.
Before Treatment:
- Avoid alcohol (24-72 hours), inform about cold sores or antiviral therapy.
- Arrive without makeup and clean the treatment area.
After the treatment:
- Temporary sunburn-like effect and sensitivity
- Avoid direct sunlight, wash gently after six hours
- No makeup for six hours, avoid exfoliating products for two weeks
- No strenuous exercise, sauna, or steam baths if irritation exists
- Sleep on back with elevated head to reduce swelling
